4 Best 3D Rendering Software Available Now
Whether you need to design a home in 3d or make a 3d animation, you need to use a 3d rendering software to do all these tasks. But there is so many software to work with. So we have gathered 4 of the best software to render and described all of their pros and cons.
Back in the past, there was a time when a person had to physically build a model blueprint of a proposed development. A person who doesn’t understand that blueprint, might not able to understand that drawing. But now the barrier has gone. With the help of 3d rendering services, anyone can see, go through that model and understand every aspect of that model. So thanks to the architectural rendering technology and the software we use to make a development project alive and look like real life.
Instead of drawing a single model for weeks, now we can make them virtually with ease. It takes less time, less money, looks better and more realistic. And from a business perspective, it is more demanding now and this technology will eventually increase the sell.
Blender
Blender is a free + Open Source 3D Rendering software. This software was mainly focused on 3D animation, video game creation, and 3D Printing. But nowadays it is also using for 3D Interior or Exterior rendering. This software is free, it doesn’t mean that it is bad. But if someone is using Blender right from the scratch, he/she will commit suicide I bet! Because this is not the software which can be used right after opening it. A person who is really familiar with Adobe Creative Suite or CorelDRAW with huge knowledge in programs or engineering can only understand what it is and how to use this software.
Blender uses keyboard shortcuts for almost every actions. The keyboard shortcuts are must to know to handle Blender. You can automatically save your work by simply hitting the + icon. Each + icon hitting will save a new file with numeric order. With basic Presets, you can mesh objects like a cone, cube, cylinder, sphere, torus, etc. But you have to learn how to create other textures and patterns.
“good, free and light to install, with many tools.”
What do you like best?
The modeling capacity is very broad, the level of tools is very professional and the results are excellent, the interface is very elaborated to have the palette of main tools in view of the user, it is a collaborative software and that is very positive for the community and greatly improves the quality of the product.
What do you dislike?
The learning and implementation time is very long, advanced technical knowledge is needed to start manipulating the software, it does not have its own library of complements to improve performance and it is not easy to get complete tutorials on the web to strengthen knowledge and software management
Recommendations to others considering the product
It is essential to have knowledge about 3D modeling and animation and also have a team that meets the minimum requirements to support design software
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
It is specifically ideal for modeling complex shapes from a graphic tablet, free of precise measurements and technical limitations, perfect for use in the office when complex modeling is required but without exact dimensions

V-Ray
V-Ray is basically all about lighting. Lighting changes so we need to use a tool that complies with all lighting conditions. So comes V-Ray, the lighting solution for 3D Models. For many rendering experts, V-Ray is the best rendering software until now. It is powerful, it is speedy and it is gorgeous.
Time-consuming is the best part of V-Ray. For some cases, it reduces the rendering time an hour to just some minutes. Then comes the light accuracy. V-Ray produces lighting situations very smartly. V-Ray works with both Brute Force and Light Cache as secondary GI engine. But with Adoptive lighting setting, the light looks cool with BF+BF. At Aerial Perspective adding realistic Aerial Perspective is super easy and speedy. With Procedural shading, you can create complex bump maps by using composite, mix, gradient, output and noise maps. But there are limits of creating the number of maps.
“excellent rendering engine with very powerful results.”
What do you like best?
his latest versions have been improving much the quality of the result of the render and also its ease of use, the interface is much more pleasant than in its first versions and has many more features that allow to improve the production process of photorealism, work from Sketchup Pro it is very useful since the rendering times are acceptable for the result that is obtained and also now includes the real-time render tool which avoids errors in the final process.
What do you dislike?
there are still some errors or difficulties to choose the right lighting, reading some materials which makes the process to get an ideal result take much longer than estimated at the beginning. The library of materials still lacks the great variety that other programs can offer, just as realism still requires a lot of work and dedication in the details.
Recommendations to others considering the product
To use the program correctly, it is advisable to learn a little about some rendering engines and thus be able to take advantage of all the tools that Vray offers, so that you understand what their strengths are and what their weaknesses are, which makes them have an indispensable knowledge when it is useful to use the program and when not, always depending on what the project requires.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
is indispensable for the 3d modeling department of projects as a complement to Sketchup Pro being a perfect extension to make the renders in an effective and relatively fast and easy way, it is very useful to get commercial work that requires architectural visualization images of the project with a very good quality and that the client considers acceptable.
Corona
No doubt Corona Rendering produce high-quality rendering. The feature of Corona Rendering integrates with AutoDesk 3dx Max and Cinema 4D. Supported by both biased UHD cache and unbiased path tracing, Corona Rendering engine offers very fast and accurate GI results. This software uses Progressive Render mode. Corona can adjust the render until the renderings are completely clean.
Corona has its own material library which gives you the opportunity to practice. This can lead to saving hours of time without creating those materials. And there are many different categories of materials like Glass, Woods, Leather, Liquid, Metals, etc. All of these materials can be applied with a simple Drag and Drop maneuver. Coronal also has a very unique feature called LightMix. This makes it incredibly easy to control the lighting in your scene while rendering without having to go back and forth to change the lighting and render again.
“Better quality faster”
What do you like best?
1 Minute Set-up time. High quality realistic renders in incredibly short time. Interactive renders that allow you to tweak everything in the scene and see the live update. Good basic material features. Excellent shader displacement and realistic shader options. Good library of PBR materials. Great pricing.
What do you dislike?
There really isn’t anything i dislike at the moment.
Recommendations to others considering the product
Try it! and keep in mind time spend and money spent when purchasing. When you balance those it’s a no-brainer
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Shorter visualisation times. Easier and shorter process to get from idea to visual. Faster idea testing therefor a faster design process. Shorter render times which really helps towards the end of a design process you can count on the software to render great images even if it is the night before the pitch as you have already seen the interactive previews.
Best 3D Rendering software collection won’t be complete without the Autodesk Revit. Autodesk Revit is basically a purpose-built tool for creating project documentation necessary for a building to be built. Because of this plus point, Autodesk Revit works much better as a tool for producing project documentation. If you start working with Autodesk Revit, you will understand that this software uses smart geometry elements. The elements that are used in Ravit are created to mimic real-life building elements.
“Program to save time in carrying out your project”
What do you like best?
It is a program in which you can work on an architectural project and obtain all the necessary material to deliver.
The use of families allows greater control over what is being represented and in turn, information is obtained from materials, components and others that are very necessary for construction.
Added to this is a user-friendly program that allows the naked eye to locate what is looking for work, being an improvement in efficiency and time reduction
What do you dislike?
I do not like that because I do not know completely the installation mode, which is a bit cumbersome, you only get the skeleton of the program and you can not work optimally.
It is also annoying that if you want to create unique elements such as a “hollow wall”, existing families limit it and it is not possible to create it and include it in the calculations.
Recommendations to others considering the product
El modo de trabajo de revit presenta elementos preconfigurados que permiten una elaboración en menos tiempo. Se debe considerar el tiempo que lleva preparar los proyectos, ya que el tiempo es oro cristalizado.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Currently I use it for the elaboration of projects in the office, it has allowed us to elaborate all the necessary material much faster than what we had worked before.
The program is quite friendly, which allows the group to explain the basic concepts to solve the last minute inconveniences.
If it is necessary to present the project, only with the use of this program we have all the elements in a single file where, with a click on the menu, you can quickly access what you want to show.
